Ivory Coast: U.N. Official Exonerates Government in Security Force Killings

Ivory Coast: U.N. Official Exonerates Government in Security Force Killings

This news was published in the new York times and talks about a problem that has affected this country for a long time. There are suppossed acusations that the government has commited killings, arbitrary arrests and other human Rights violations. However this article says that all of the supposed actions made by the government were really made by security forces acting alone. All of the problems that are happening in this country happen because it is having problems because the postelections, this happens because many people thinks that in the elections the winner cheated. So what they are doing is to implement thier candidate as the president by force. This generates a lot of problems and can lead to a revolution. The UN said that they exonérate the government from this actions because after doing some research they discovered that it wasn´t the government. It was an independent group of people the ones that are causing all this problems in this country.

I think that what the UN did was the correct thing to do because you can not blame a book by its cover. I say this because sometimes the government of other countries blame some people without knowing what it really happened an this causes a lot of problems and even a war. I think the problems happening in this country are very severe because this can cause a revolution, but i also think that the people have the right to protest, if they do so peacefully it is very good, because as humans we have the right to do so. In conclusion I think that what th UN did couldnt be better because they did not follow what others said. I also think that the things the Ivory Coast did was correct because many times we are conformist and we do not care whats happening around us if it doesn´t affect us directly.
