paragraph 1

A landmine kills two people in Chile

This new says that a taxi driver was killed when his car hit a landmine. He crossed the border illegally in Parinacota region. When he crossed it, he entered to a minefield and an anti tank device exploded. Therefore the car was destroyed and the man died. He was not the only one that was in the accident. The Chilean army found another man dead because of the explotion. The prosecutor confirmed that the taxi driver was Chilean, but they couldn´t identify him.
The device was there since 1970  because Chile planted thousands of mines during a difficult period with Peru. Chile had bad relations with Argentina, so the military government decided to mine its border to prevent an invasion. Since 2002 some mines have been cleared but the others steel there. After this the army closed the border for several days, while army detonated a number of devices in controlled explosions.

In my opinion this new is a little sad because it is talking about two men's deaths. The problem is that he crossed illegally, so he broke the rules and all things we do have consequences. On the other hand is the other man´s death, and maybe he didn´t do anything wrong and he died too and that´s unfair. By the way that anti tank device shouldn´t have been there, because it is very dangerous. The army should of thought about that. I think it is important that the prosecutor identify the man died, because I can imagine the concern of his family.
