Russian Missile

Jose Luis Castañeda

This image was taken on Moscow, Russia at the Red Square in May 23, 2012

I like this photo because it has several elements that make it a very good picture, for example the colors that it has are really different and the contrast of the dark green of the missile launcher in the front against the Kremlin that has so many different colors in the background. Besides the colors contras the meaning contrast that is shown in this photo is really amazing, how in a public square with people and tourist is a big missile launcher truck. It highlights a lot against the civilian population that is in that same place. Other element that makes this picture good one is that it respects the rule of thirds, by having at least one element or object to focus in each quadrant. If you analyze this photo in every corner it has one interesting element in which you can focus, in the center it has the missile launcher that gives it a sense of power that attracts your attention, in the superior quadrants we can see the Kremlin towers and other building that makes you keep watching the whole photo.
