Compare: 

          What we can see on both pictures is the bad mood of the face of afghan people. They look like desperate in front of the situation of their country. They are all wearing the same clothes because it is their way of wearing and their way of life. The other impressive thing is that they looks like really poor, they have nothing. The color of the both pictures is also cold and not too much color, that gives us the impression of sadness and impotence. In the center of the picture there is always the main topic of the picture, one is a poor boy with an ane full of stuff and on the other, an American soldier with a weapon and an afghan people looking at him. But they are just separated with barbed. As if freedom was just behind theses barbed. On the last picture, we can see on the left that there are some barbed too, because there are a lot of places with barbed wires in Afghanistan and people are not free to move.

Contrast:

          The main differences between theses two pictures are the military forces are present or not. In the first one, we can see the American forces, on the second, it is more peaceful, just a boy walking near an ane. But this boy in this picture is leaving his house and city; he is alone and feels desperate. In the first picture, people are together, there is a feeling of union, they are all here to manifest and to show that together they can made one and they can made their voice be heard. The main difference is also in the comportment; one is leaving, other stays but are angry. They want peace and military forces get out, other is just young and resigned, he leaves and try to find a better place.

          Also, on both pictures, we can see that the total of the picture is not always full. In the first one, it is completely full of people from the left to the right, with a two plan dimensions with the military and the people behind. On the second one, there is less things, just in the middle a boy with an ane, and around him there is nothing, just the nature. This nature shows that he is alone and he has nobody and no help.
