Blog 3: Compare and Contrast BREIVIK

Compare: These two photos show Anders Breivik Behring facing the court during his trial. We can observe that both of these two pictures, he wears the same costume, the same shirt and the same tie. Moreover, we can notice the presence of a military or policemen on both of these photos. Indeed, during a trial, policemen are required and their presence provided security until the end of it. Then, we can think that these photos were taken the same day and at the same meeting face court. This picture has been taken in the same room.

Contrast: These photos show the same person but there are differences. On the photo of the top, we can notice that Breivik seems disrespectful facing the court. He raises the point to show his determination and he does not seem surprised or disappointed to be here. I think he does not regret at this time these acts and what he did during the July 22. He continues to play his character and does nothing to appease the court. On the bottom picture, Breivik shows a completely different face. Indeed, we can see him holding his head, or even cry. It seems gunned down by the decision of the court. We may also think he begins to realize what he did and begin to regret his actions. There is a clear difference emerges between what this man at two different times.
