Blog3- Japan - Comparing and Contrast

This essay will compare and contrast between the picture I choose and the picture they had on the article that I read. Although, I didn’t notice the first picture when I decided to go through that article, I still believe the picture I choose is better for my article. Both pictures have things in common but also they have a lot differences.

Looking at the two pictures from a general view will show a lot on common. Both pictures hold a deep tragedy, which have stolen a lot of peoples’ lives and hurt others. The kid who is going through pain in the first picture is the same as the one in the second picture. Moreover, they both had their families with them, which is the sign of passion, love and the ultimate caring for other family members.  In addition, they both have taken in consideration of the rule of thirds but the second one is clearer to the viewer. Both pictures shows what the article and can be used.

Maybe they both show the same sadness, tragedy and survival but there is many things missing from the first picture that my article talked about. What about hope? The second pictures show a big chance of hope and survival. From the way the mother and the father are looking at her child and telling him that everything is going to be alright. On the other hand, the first picture indicates the end of someone’s life while the sky is covered by black clouds.  Everyone in the second picture is thinking about the kid’s safety seriously while in the first picture some are looking around instead of praying for the dead just like the little girl doing. The second picture shows caring, carriage and cooperation. However, the first picture showed the end of a life, depression and fear.

In conclusion, despite the fact that the two pictures have some in common, they also show some other differences. They both covered the image the people expect from reading the article but one did it better than the other. Eventually, in my own opinion I think the second picture is the most likely to be used in my article.
