Van der Sloot faces US extradition after Peru jail term

I found this news that talks about a Dutchman man, Joran Van der Sloot that was expelled from Peru to U.S. after he pays a penalty of jail. U.S and Peru want to make an alliance to extradite this man. Joran Van der Sloot is accused of involvement in the disappearance of a teenager, Natalee Holloway, also he is accused of killing a young Peruvian student, Stephany Flores. The last one was found in a hotel in the Peruvian capital. The extradition treaty between Peru and U.S. still needs to be approved by the Peruvian Justice Minister and the cabinet.

In this news we can see the power especially because Joran Van der Sloot has to pay a penalty because of his terrible mistake, here the authorities such as the Peruvian Justice Minister, and the cabinet have the power because they can extradite him or make him pay his penalty, they can decide what to do with him since the moment in which he took the power over the life of another person. The authorities have the power as they control the country, and as they have the money to do whatever they want. In this case I think they are taking the correct punishment, although they have to approve the extradition treaty as fast as they can because it is unfair that while they are thinking what to do, the family of that girls are suffering.
