President Hugo Chavez declared his oficial re-election bid, this is the biggest change that I can describe from South America, a lot of civilians were outside the election authority headquarters in Venezuela.
Cameras showed President Hugo Chavez wearing his trademark red beret with. The VTV showed all Hugo "fans" supporting him wearing red t-shirts and waving banners and flags. We can se the power of colors as the red symbolizes the blood and love to their nation, they are telling Venezuela "With Hugo we are so good, and we must keep going like this" that`s why they use red t-shirts and also the red beret.
But, on the other hand the opposition Candidate does not want Hugo in power any more, so he is giving speeches against him and he was wearing a yellow, blue and red t-shirt that are the nation flag colors. He is using colors for saying something, and he is not only thinking in random colors, he is wearing the county`s flag colors for saying that Chavez is not the only one who loves and wants what`s best for the country.
In summary i can say that as we discuss in class colors in movies they can also be used in something as important as the presidency of a country as these two, Hugo and Capriles, are doing, perhaps in my opinion Venezuela needs a change in the standpoint that it is behind in modernism, in here technology is not really advance, they are not stock in sticks and stones but Venezuela is not known for fancy, speed and strong car, or for the ipods manufacturing, so i think they jave to change this because this is a globalized world and if they do not reach the others maybe the world would forget them. If you ask me, Venezuela does not need a change in government because before Hugo arrived to de presidency this country was not so unified, there were a lot of insecurity and it was a total mess, but when Hugo won de elections, I don`t know how but he unify Venezuela and he started to make a lot of changes in order to improve the country situation, and he didi it successfully, with a really "strong hand" but it works, not all the people supports him but thaks to him Venezuela is now in a good way.
