Perception of Central Europe.
Talking about stereotypes and perceptions is like a prejudice,
is what we think of something or someone, which means that we’re taking the
exterior image or rather what they show. When perceiving or stereotyping almost
all the time, we are doing an incorrect image that could be the opposite of
what it really is. Is important to say that many countries, as we seen before,
have its own stereotypes and we can appreciate that they’re incorrect, is a wrong
way of seeing what the reality is, that comes as a result of the differences
that exist between countries or half-knowledge. Let’s see what is the global
perception of a country in the Central Europe region.
The region that we’re going to
analyze is Germany, the pre-named giant of the European Union, because of its
stable economy. The Germans are seen like serious people, with no sense of humor
and boring because of the Second World War, and Hitler. But into its virtues,
they’re mechanical, organized and conscientious, we can deduce that they’re
brilliant, always got a strategy, and are a step forward of everybody. What is
interesting to mention is that in the essay with characteristics of all
countries, they say “…Would secretly like to invade Europe” and that fits
perfectly to its characteristics, they have a kind of malevolent brain, and are
prepared for every situation like anybody else. Its physical characteristics, blond
hair and blue eyes, are the ones that made Hitler thought and said that they
were the best kind of people around the world, Aryans. The German are
well-known for being big consumers of beer, sausage and sauerkraut in many and
huge meals per day. In fewer words, they consume lots of food all the time. The
features that Germans have, made them think that they can do whatever they want,
and that’s what they were doing for many years, built and indestructible empire
in all aspects.
Checking out the qualities of
this country is notable that most of the stereotypes done are correct, but not
at the same way, because they present them as negative features when they’re
not; Germany is a big aid for the big empire of the European Union, that
concentrates an unimaginable and incredible power. For sure this qualities
found in the German country made it a unique and particular place with special
qualities that we can’t find in any other place.
